Veteran Corps is currently seeking well qualified candidates to perform the following:
Provide support for the Non Intrustive Inspection System (NIIS) property book and other management requirements. Specific duties include:
Provide expert analysis, advice and counsel on property accountability and property acquisition to assist in the management decision-making process. The property includes equipment related to supporting the NIIS.
Manage accountability of Contractor Acquired Property (CAP), and Government Furnished Equipment (GFE).
Develop, analyze, evaluate, and promote improvements in policies and procedures pertaining to supply, property accountability, and acquisition management. Prepare guidelines and procedures in accordance with regulatory guidance and develop, prepare, and recommend supplemental policy and program instruction affecting NIIS operations in the areas of supply, acquisition, and property.
Conduct or participate in studies on matters such as internal property accountability or establishment of a centralized supply program.
Support maintaining 100% property accountability of Government property using a Logistics Information System.
Manage hand receipt accounts through proper issue, receipt and transfer of equipment and conduct a 100% annual reconciliation of Government property with sub-hand receipt holders.
Conduct semi-annual cyclic and sensitive item inventories.
Provide guidance to sub-hand receipt holders in resolving discrepancies discovered during inventories.
Develop property accountability performance measures and organizational training needs.
Coordinate the entire supply operations by ensuring proper procurement, stock, control, storage, issue, disposal, and accountability of a wide range of standard and non-standard supplies, material, real property, and equipment.
Oversee supply room procedures; establish and maintain adequate expendable supply stock levels; and oversee the receipt, storage, security, and issue of expendable and non-expendable supplies and equipment.
Coordinate prompt disposal of excess and unserviceable equipment to prevent possible pilferage.
Develop and recommend new structures and work flow of governed programs. Advise management of potential controversies and problem areas, and recommend measures designed to reduce or eliminate the problems.
