We have an exciting opportunity for a F5 Administrator to join our team in Huntsville, AL. The F5 Administrator will provide technical expertise supporting and administering F5 for a large (8000+) user community. The F5 Administrator must have a customer centric approach and provide all level of support for the technical and cyber team as well as the user base community.


Essential Job Functions:

  • Provides ongoing network support, addresses availability issues, over-comes performance problems of F5 appliances and the F5 BIG-IP infrastructure.
  • Designs, installs, maintains and coordinates the use of network systems.
  • Assist in the designing, planning, and implementation of F5 appliances.
  • Evaluates hardware and software and peripheral equipment for large, complex networks.
  • Gathers and analyzes F5 systems data to support the development of new capability fulfillment strategies. Troubleshoots and resolves problems to ensure quality transmission service on the network.
  • Reports on overall network performance including frequent problems, underlying issues and plans to improve network availability, performance and problem resolution.


Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • Due to customer related requirements, US Citizenship is required.
  • BS degree and 5 years of relevant experience required.
  • Active SECRET Clearance is required and the ability to maintain such clearance.
  • F5 BIG-IP Administration.
  • Ability to work with little or no direct supervision and in a team environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • DoD 8570 certification (CCNA- Security, GICSP, GSEC, Security + CE, SSCP) is a plus.
  • F5 Certification is a plus.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong customer service/client facing skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
