Overview

The mission of Veteran Corps is absolute dedication to exceeding the needs of our customers through intelligent, proactive customer service and commitment to excellence in all of our partnerships. This position is in support of the Non-Intrusive Inspections System (NIIS) providing contractor logistics services to include, but not limited to: (1) the Leidos Mobile Vehicle and Cargo Inspection Systems (MVACIS), Military Mobile VACIS (MMVACIS), VACIS Gamma Trailer (VACIS-GT), Relocatable VACIS (RVACIS), Radiation Portal Monitor (RPM), and the HEM6500; (2) the American Science and Engineering (AS&E) Gemini 7555 XRay Parcel Inspection Systems, ZBackscatter Vans (ZBV), ZBV Military Trailers (MT), SmartCheck Inspection Modules (SIMS) and SIM High Throughput (SIMSHT) personnel scanning systems ; (3) Rapiscan Secure 1000 Personnel Scanners, T-10 Trailers, Gamma-Ray Detection System (GaRDS) Gantry, and the 522B and 626XR X-ray Systems; (4) and, Heuresis HBI-120 Handheld X-ray Imager without Government furnished technical information.

 

Sustainment of Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) NIIS is required within the Contiguous United States (CONUS) and Outside of the Contiguous United States (OCONUS) in locations such as Afghanistan, Kuwait, Qatar, Jordan, Djibouti (HOA), United Arab Emirates (UAE), Iraq, and Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) for U.S. Allies, Coalition / Foreign Military forces and Other Government Agencies. Support shall include onsite services for inspection and repair of the NIIS previously listed to include “remove and replace” repairs due to any component failure or equipment malfunction, breakage, fatigue or accident, and training support. The CONUS NIIS are currently in storage. The requirements for CONUS NIIS CLS consist of quarterly Preventative Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS) and the labor associated with packaging NIIS for any shipments to OCONUS locations identified by the COR.

 

Responsibilities

Veteran Corps is currently seeking well qualified candidates to perform the following:

  • Identify, procure, stock, manage and replenish all parts and supplies necessary to operate and sustain all NIIS variants. procure and stock parts in response to Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS).
  • Maintain supplies, consumables, expendables/durables, and repair parts in support of the NIIS for both normal and contingency operations.
  • Help conduct 10% monthly and 100% annually cyclic inventories. procure, stock, and maintain sufficient quantities of consumables and spares to support daily operations, meet all requests (e.g., field training exercises, etc.), and provide for surge requirements during deployments.
  • Track and maintain total asset visibility of all parts and supplies using COLTS.
  • Support the development of an Inventory Report.
  • Support identification, forecasting and managing obsolescent components, and diminishing resources. Recommend logistics solutions to improve overall sustainment costs.
  • Maintain procedures for marking, handling, storage, packaging, transporting and shipping to protect the quality of products and prevent damage, loss, deterioration and degradation IAW AR 700-15.
  • Support tasks associated with preparing the shipment for movement and transportation to the shipper.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  •  Bachelor's degree in a related field (Master's preferred)
  •  Minimum of 2 years related experience

 

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  •  Familiarity working on military bases and with force protection systems
  •  Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work in austere environments.
