The Proposal Support and Desktop Publisher candidate will work with multiple products including proposal, program, training, and internal documentation. Candidate should be both creative and capable of understanding the documentation requirements for each artifact and effectively communicate these solutions and processes to the management team.  Candidate should be able to utilize existing processes, in addition to devising creative ways of conceptualizing solutions, and have an eye for detail to ensure compliance. This position will work directly with Proposal and Project managers to build proposal and project documentation.  Serves as the primary lead for finalizing the formatting all internal and customer documents. Candidate must have strong interpersonal skills, be extremely organized, and be willing to do research to understand complex technical solutions.


Responsibilities include:

  • Assist in developing proposal outlines based off the RFP requirements
  • Provide production support such as printing, binding, and packaging final products to be delivered to the customer
  • Maintain configuration control of documentation
  • Format documentation by developing table of contents, figures, outlines, headers, and other actions toward the development of government-accepted documents.
  • Assist in assessing compliance of artifacts based off customer requirements
  • Provide grammatical edits and white glove support
  • Prepare and rewrite materials in an understandable and clear way.


Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts discipline or 7 years’ experience in proposal management (English, Communications, Graphics)
  • Minimum of 3 years related experience support DoD customers
  • Knowledge of one or more of the following: Adobe Creative Suite: Illustrator, PhotoShop, InDesign, Dreamweaver, Acrobat, Bridge, Spark
  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Project, Outlook, SharePoint, Skype, Teams, Visio) 
  • Must be able to proofread and edit spelling, grammar and syntax.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Knowledge on how to develop a well-balanced, well-aligned graphics with consistent spacing, style, and format, correct spelling, and adherence to a consistent style.
  • Knowledge on how to create, draw, maintain, processes and archives diagrams and detailed illustrations for print or online technical documentation from sketches, photos, actual parts and ideas
  • Ability to work iteratively during solution sessions.  
  • Ability to incorporates feedback from reviewers to improve initial draft concepts
  • Ability to work in a team environment while possessing excellent communication skills.
  • Familiarity with proposal practices (Shipley principals)
  • Ability to use Adobe tools to develop graphics and process flows for proposals and technical documents.
