Proposal Writer/Editor/Coordinator

Full-Time (40HR)


InterFuze Corporation seeks a skilled and experienced Proposal Writer/Editor/Coordinator to help develop winning proposals for federal government agencies.


Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Develop requirements-driven proposal outlines from Customer solicitation requirements
  • Write and revise materials in an understandable and clear way
  • Assess compliance of documents/artifacts to Customer requirements
  • Edit proposals and materials for readability, consistency, clarity, and tone for final publication/submission
  • Develop production/proposal schedules
  • Manage and track production and deliverables status
  • Create/format document templates using embedded styles and reference tools/tags
  • Performs basic research to develop written content using existing company documentation
  • Analyzes and summarizes information to distill complex ideas into simple, logical explanations
  • Collaborates with subject matter experts and company personnel to develop proposal content
  • Attends strategy meetings and assists in special projects for business development, marketing, and operations
  • Provide occasional support for hard-copy production products
  • Maintain configuration control of documentation and assist in maintaining document libraries


Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, or similar discipline (may substitute 7 years’ DoD programs/proposal support experience for degree requirement)
  • Minimum of 3 years related experience writing and supporting DoD proposals
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Teams and SharePoint as collaborative tools for effective document control, sharing, conferencing, and archiving data and production artifacts
  • Must be able to proofread and edit spelling, grammar, and syntax
  • Ability to incorporate feedback from reviewers to improve draft concepts.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Demonstrated experience with proposal best practices (i.e., Shipley and/or MillerHeiman proposal/sales methodologies)
  • Demonstrated experience with Agile/Sprint methodologies for compressed, short-duration project coordination/support
  • Understanding and demonstrated application of ADDIE process to proposal/project environments
  • Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)® is a plus
  • Ability to use Adobe tools to develop imagery and process flows for proposals and technical documents is a plus.
