Veteran Corps will provide administrative, programmatic, systems engineering, research analysis, test management and scientific support services to the Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD) Systems Support Directorate (SSD) and Front Office in its effort to combat the catastrophic use of a weapon of mass destruction within the United States and its territories. This support includes the assistance required by the federal staff to effectively administer and manage programs and projects as well as to contribute to scientific and engineering assessments of existing and evolving counter-WMD technologies.   Veteran Corps is currently seeking well qualified candidates to perform the following: - Study the chemical composition or physical principles of living cells and organisms, their electrical and mechanical energy, and related phenomena. - May conduct research to further understanding of the complex chemical combinations and reactions involved in metabolism, reproduction, growth, and heredity. - May determine the effects of foods, drugs, serums, hormones, and other substances on tissues and vital processes of living organisms. - Development of characterization and data analysis plans - Provide technical analysis and interpretation of complex data sets generated by research and development efforts to enhance detection capabilities (e.g. networked sensors, improved algorithms) - Provide scientific and technical evaluation of the analyzed results from research and development studies - Generate, edit, and interpret scientific reports based upon technical results from CWMD research and development efforts
